bareMinerals RareMinerals Blemish Therapy

I want to do a quick bareMinerals RareMinerals Blemish Therapy review today since it is a product I have used many times in the past and have had great experiences with. While bareMinerals Blemish Therapy is not makeup for acne, it provides a little bit of coverage while helping to heal blemishes, so I have even used it at night to tone down some redness and help heal a blemish. This is a product that does not contain the usual salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide of other acne treatments. Instead, it uses Bare Escentuals’ RareMinerals Complex which contains natural sulfur, a mineral that is both soothing and has some antibacterial properties.

I have found that Blemish Therapy is much more gentle than my prescription topical acne treatments, so it works well on areas that might be a little irritated. It is also great when there is an area that isn’t badly broken out, but still needs treatment. I love the fact that I can tone down and conceal some of the redness at night so that I don’t have to go to bed looking too scary!

During the day, I use Blemish Therapy under their Multi-Tasking Face Concealer to provide extra coverage and healing at the same time. It also absorbs oil, but I haven’t had a problem with it being overly drying. However, I do not use it on areas that are already dry. Bare Escentuals has other products in their RareMinerals line that help with dry skin which I recommend trying instead.

In summary, I highly recommend trying bareMinerals RareMinerals Blemish Therapy to tone down the redness in any area where you have acne, even on your body. It doesn’t look like acne makeup, but it provides a little coverage while helping heal and it works beautifully in conjunction with the rest of the bareMinerals line. I just wish they would shorten the names of their products. They are a mouthful!
