Description:

Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer is a heavy duty, highly pigmented, transfer- and water-resistant, multitasking concealer.  It is a creamy, blendable concealer that provides excellent, customizable coverage.  It is oil and paraben-free, so it is safe for acne.  This is an extremely long-lasting concealer, especially when you follow the standard steps of applying concealer in which you prep the skin, dab on concealer, blend edges, and set with powder.

Summary of Reviews:

Kat Von D’s concealer gets rave reviews from users as a great concealer for acne, rosacea, scars, and other skin discolorations. Even though it is branded as a tattoo concealer, users said that it works far better as a concealer on the face instead. In fact, those who bought it for tattoos were pleasantly surprised at how well it worked for hiding other skin issues, including undereye circles. This is a very versatile concealer.

I used this concealer to cover some blemishes as well as for the red area I get around my nose. The yellow undertones effectively canceled out any redness. I found the coverage to be excellent and it totally concealed everything that I needed it to. The consistency is a little thick, so you only need a tiny amount and the tube lasts for months. Since my skin is a little on the dry side, I had to make sure that I put on moisturizer first to prevent the concealer becoming too obvious. Just using the standard, recommended technique with a small concealer brush (dab and blend), I was able to erase all my redness. A little powder on top and I was done.

Since Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer is a thicker concealer, you can also use it very effectively to cover acne scars. Pitted acne scars, in particular, can be filled with the concealer and blended around the edges to hide them.

If you need extra coverage for your acne, rosacea, or acne scars, then this is a great concealer. Don’t be put off by the name since most people use it to conceal pretty much anything, including small tattoos.

  • Extra coverage, especially for acne scars
